Some academic is writing a paper about Loving the Amazon. I am excited about this prospect except that I’m not sure why this is the subject of a persona studies paper. The novel is a Love Story with a bent for titivation. Some say this is an impossible combination of forms, a “BuildingsRoman” or “pastiche”, others or far gerater kudos in screenwriting and art fiction say it is ‘the real thing’ or an ‘astonishing frankness and brilliance’ which is humbling…..
